7/2654DN PUBLIC NOTICE In consideration of the current health, safety and wellness concerns for our community and in accordance with the various emergency executive and administrative orders entered by federal, state and local governmental authorities, including, but not limited to, Executive Order Number 20-69 as extended by Executive Orders 20-112, 20-123, 20-139, 20-150, and 20-179 entered by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, in order to continue to perform essential functions in a manner consistent with law and board policy and to continue to provide governmental transparency as well as reasonable opportunities for the public to access and participate in the decision making process, the School Board will modify its meeting procedures and public participation process at its regularly scheduled Board meetings during this time of emergency as follows: 1. Meeting schedule: The next regular School Board meeting remains scheduled for August 10, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Central Administrative Complex, Training Room, located at 202 Highway 85 North, Niceville, Florida. The general subject matter or matters to be considered at this School Board meeting includes all business as indicated on the School Board meeting Agenda published on August 3, 2020, on the Okaloosa County School District website at http://www.okaloosaschools.com/district/sb/meetings/2020, and any other business that may properly come before the School Board. 2. Meeting Procedures and Access Points: A quorum of School Board members will participate at the School Board meeting either in person or through telephone conference call. Information regarding the opportunity for the public to view and participate in the meeting is as follows: a. Internet Access to Agenda and Video Live-Stream of Board Meeting: School Board Agendas are published seven (7) days prior to meeting at http://www.okaloosaschools.com/district/sb/meetings/2020. At 6:00 p.m. on the date of the School Board meeting, the meeting will be video live-streamed on the School District website at http://www.okaloosaschools.com/district/sb/meetings/2020. b. Access Point for Telephonic Participation: In order to facilitate participation by individuals who are subject to quarantine or self-isolation measures, members of the public may participate telephonically through the School Board meeting call system telephone lines which will be made available beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the night of the School Board meeting for members of the public to call into the meeting during the public comment portion of the meeting and during any public hearing portion of the meeting. The telephone number for such participation is (850) 833-3100 and specific instructions regarding the participation process shall be provided to each caller. If you are calling into the meeting to make public comment, please be patient as there may be a wait time while being transferred into the meeting. c. Access Point for Live Participation: A live audio/video stream of the meeting will be broadcast on-site where members of the public may view/hear School Board deliberations in a designated area which can accommodate appropriate social distancing in the Central Administrative Complex, located at 202 Highway 85 North, Niceville, Florida. Individuals may address the School Board during the appropriate portions of the Agenda according to procedures that observe appropriate social distancing guidelines as provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). ALL PUBLIC PARTICIPATION WILL BE SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE SCHOOL BOARD POLICIES AND PROCEDURES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, CIVILITY AND LENGTH OF STATEMENTS AND PUBLIC COMMENT SEGMENTS. 27576 PUBLIC NOTICE The Bay County School Board announces that Construction Management (CM) Services will be required for work due to damages sustained from Hurricane Michael for the upcoming construction projects listed below. The CM firm selected will be awarded Project #1 and based on performance, subsequent projects in the order as listed. 1.) JR Arnold High School Roof Repairs 2.) Parker Elementary School, Building #2, Roof & Mechanical Repairs As authorized by Florida Statute 287.055, the selected firm(s) will establish a preconstruction services agreement, then a guaranteed maximum price with an established completion date. To be eligible for consideration, all interested firms must, at the time of submission, be authorized to do business in the State of Florida; hold a Florida General Contractor license; provide proof of insurance coverage (minimum $1 million for single projects and $2 million aggregate); demonstrate a capability to provide required Performance, Labor and Material Bonds; demonstrate appropriate financial strength; and have an acceptable history regarding litigation and defaults. In addition, firms must submit a Statement of Qualifications, and if shortlisted, commit to participate in an interview with the Selection Committee.
